ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parish Advisory Council:
The Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parish Advisory Council:
- Shares leadership of the Parish, providing advice and support to our Carmelite brothers, together discerning and establishing priorities.
- Is faithful to the mission statement of Our Lady of Mt Carmel, Coorparoo, and the Carmelite charism.
- Is present in the community.
- Listens and engages in ongoing and inclusive dialogue across the community.
- Is responsive to the needs of the community encouraging initiative and participation – prayer, community, service.
- Collaborates with the Parish Finance Council, Plant and Resources Committee, Liturgy Committee et al
- Is informed and engaged in the church beyond Coorparoo.
- Facilitates Parish Feast Day celebration, Ministry Sunday et al.
- Prayerfulness and reflective action
- Listening, collegiality and shared wisdom
