Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a Catholic faith community in Coorparoo, in the Archdiocese of Brisbane.  The parish has been in the care of the Carmelite Friars since 1937.

​We the people of the Catholic Parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, inspired by the Gospels and charism of the Carmelite tradition, and living in Resurrection hope, seek to fulfil our mission by partnering with Jesus in his mission of transforming the world.

​We do this by: 
  • Being a vibrant, worshipping community, seeking to deepen our spirituality
  • Welcoming and supporting one another in our shared journey of faith, and
  • Outreaching to those, within and beyond our community, who no longer feel a sense of belonging, those on the margins and those most in need. ​

Ash Wednesday
With Ash Wednesday fast approaching, Fr Paul is requesting you bring in your palms from last year's Palm Sunday.  These will then be burned to ash for Ash Wednesday.  There will be a basket at the back of the Church for collection.
Mt Carmel Seniors Social Club
The Mt Carmel Seniors Social Club AGM will be held in the Carmel Community Room on Thursday, 18th February, to start at 9.30am, with morning tea to follow.   "Annual subscription of $5 now due".

Come and Celebrate with Fr Jerome his Milestone Big 80.
Fr Jerome turns 80 on 16th February and we as a parish community are planning to celebrate this milestone on Friday 26th February 6pm at the Carmelite Hall, OLMC School. You are all invited.Please RSVP by writing your name and how many are coming with your donation of $40. This donation will cover the 3 course meal and $10 towards a gift. Please join us !
World Youth Day 2016
Some Brisbane East Deanery funding is available to suitable applicants.  We would love to have you join us for the Brisbane Pilgrimage to World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow! Young people aged 18-35 are invited to join us on a 21 day ‘Footsteps of John Paul II’ pilgrimage through Poland, including a ‘Days in the Diocese’ experience. .
